Baysville is a small town located in the Lake of Bays township municipality in District Municipality of Muskoka in southeast Ontario. Baysville is 20 minutes northeast of Bracebridge along Route 117. Baysville is situated in the southwestern portion of Lake of Bays, which extends around 50 kilometres northward. The area gets its name from the body of water of the same name, with many bays, islands, and inlets.

Huntsville is a little over 20 minutes north of Baysville, and Toronto is around 4 hours southward. The area around Baysville consists of dense forests, small lakes and rivers, and marshes. The town itself sits along a river that feeds into the Lake of Bays a short distance north. The river is crossed by a bridge near the center of Baysville.
There are many small communities and populated areas that fall within the Lake of Bays, but Baysville is mostly a community apart, with the nearest settlement being the few residents and homes at Grandview some 8 kilometres away to the northeast.

You can also catch a boat to the Bigwin resort on Bigwin island, which has a full golf course to enjoy.
