Dwight is also the northern corner of a triangle formed by the towns Dorset and Baysville, encompassing the various bodies of water that make up the Lake of Bays. Dorset is approximately 15 minutes away to the south, the town of Huntsville is 20 minutes away to the west, and bracebridge is around 40 minutes to the southwest.
The journey between Toronto and Dwight is around 2 hours, or a little over 200 kilometres.
Dwight falls within Ontario’s popular cottage country, which lies on a geological formation known as the Canadian Shield. This vast area is characterized by rocky outcroppings, dense forests, and thousands of lakes.
