West of Milford Bay is Beaumaris Island, home to a yacht club, marina, golf club, and tennis courts, as well as a host of luxurious lakeside residences. This island is accessible via a small bridge near the south end of Milford Bay.

North of Milford Bay is a rocky hill known as Huckleberry Rock Lookout, an excellent spot for taking in views of the surrounding area.

The broader area around Milford Bay is defined by forest and farmland, as well as Leonard Lake to the east, and the rocky shores and islands of Lake Muskoka to the west.

Milford Bay is a very popular destination within southeast Ontario’s Cottage Country, due to its beautiful surroundings and easy access, both by road from nearby Bracebridge, and over the water from Gravenhurst.

The vacation resort-style amenities suggest the up-market nature of the real estate market around Milford Bay, promising large and comfortable cabins and cottages along Lake Muskoka’s shores.
